
Associate Professor Siobhan O’Dwyer is an award-winning researcher, educator, and writer. She leads a ground-breaking programme of research on suicide and homicide risk in carers. She also collaborates on research about other aspects of caregiving, dementia, and the role social media in disability advocacy.
Currently based at the University of Birmingham, Siobhan also holds an honorary appointment at the University of Exeter Medical School and has qualifications in Psychology, Human Movement Studies, and Higher Education. She previously held positions at the University of Exeter (UK), Griffith University (Brisbane, Australia) and the National Seniors Productive Ageing Centre (Canberra, Australia). She is passionate about ensuring that research is translated into better practice and meaningful policy.
