More Than A Parent is a new short film, made by award-winning filmmaker Bhulla Beghal and commissioned by the University of Birmingham.

It is inspired by research, led by Dr O’Dwyer, on suicide risk in parents caring for children with long-term illnesses and disabilities. If the film moves you and you’re based in the UK, we’d encourage you to write to your MP and ask them what they’ll be doing to improve support for disabled children and their families.
